Marinda Artilla Johnson, 44, transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on September 7, 2020 at Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston -Salem, NC. Marinda was born on December 15, 1975 to William James and Artilla Quick Johnson. She gave her life to Christ at an early age and cherished everyday of her journey. Marinda was a faithful member of Williams Memorial CME.

Known for her beautiful eyes, her heartwarming smile, compassion and her kind spirit towards others. She truly will be missed.

Marinda resided in High Point, NC all of her life, she was a graduate from High Point Central High School, she furthered her education at Carolina Beauty College as a Cosmetologist. She later attended Guilford Technical Community College where she received an associate degree in Applied Science. She was employed at Wake Forest Baptist Health High Point Medical Center as a Patient Access Specialist. In her free time, Marinda loved cooking, going out to eat and going shopping. She loved to act out some of her favorite movies such as "The Color Purple," sayings such as "You told Harpo to beat me," "You sho got a pretty smile." Despite her health issues Marinda cared for her parents without complaining.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother; Donnie Johnson; two sisters; Martha and Evelyn Smith; one niece; Natalie Smith, One nephew; Kenneth Smith.

Fond and loving memories will be cherished by three brothers; Derone Johnson; Douglas Johnson and Darrell Johnson; a sister; Belva Williams, her uncle; June Quick, nieces and nephews, a god daughter; Ayanna Gillespie, a special niece; Lashelle Bethea, a beautiful woman of God who cared for her until death and unconditional love and care. Special cousins; Stephanie Parnell, Trina Morrison and Vicki Harrington whom she thought highly of and considered her them as sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Marinda went home peacefully, quiet and suddenly. No suffering, she called out for her momma, she called out for her daddy, lifted her hand and she was gone.
