Mr. Edward Lindsay,age 77, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Saturday, March 21, 2020, at his residence. He was born in Anson County, NC, to the late Edmond Lindsay and Mary Lou Watson Lindsay. June, as he was affectionately called, was united in holy matrimony to the late Josie DeBerry Lindsay. Edward was a wonderful person. He always helped others in anyway he could. He was a family man and enjoyed sharing time with them. His yearly vacations at the beach were always special to share with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Edward retired from Akzo Nobel, Inc., as a supervisor. Edward was a devoted member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. He served as a deacon at the church and was president of the kitchen committee. Edward loved his church, and he truly loved the Lord. He is now reunited with his beautiful wife, Josie Lindsay and their daughter, Phyllis Lindsay; two brothers, James Lindsay and Freddie Lindsay. The family he leaves behind with sadness are: his five children, Johnny (Brenda) Townsend of Monroe, NC, Johnnie Deberry, Linda Lindsay, Edward Lindsay, Jr., and Delores Lindsay Hamani, all of High Point, NC; eight sisters, Cora (Lonnie) Tillman, Betty Townsend, Emma (Lewis) Townsend, Elaine Harris Rich, Annie Ruth Lindsay, Lenora Evans, Doris Lindsay, and Gussie Lindsay; two brothers, Charles (Karen) Lindsay and Michael Lindsay all of High Point, NC; 20 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; four sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law; and a host of ni
