Mr. Willie B. Breeden, age 84, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at PineRidge Health and Rehabilitation in Thomasville, NC. He was born October 4, 1941, in Marlboro County, SC, to Junius Breeden and Vera Hayes Breeden.

Mr. Willie attended Clio, SC city schools. He joined New Zion AME Church at an early age and accepted the Lord as his personal savior.

Mr. Willie moved to New York in 1969 and relocated to High Point, NC 2000.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Albert Breeden; three daughters, Vera Breeden, Carol Breeden Branch and Coreen Simmons.

Mr. Willie leaves behind memories to his children; William “Big Mike” Breeden, Bernard Breeden, Simon (Crystal) Breeden, Valerie Breeden (Mike) Mitchell, Sandra Breeden, Lamont Simmons, Aileen Simmons and Beatrice Simmons; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins; a special cousin who was like a sister, Maggie Ray.

Since the passing of Mr. Willie B. Breeden, a special thank you to Simon Breeden who was determined to make sure his dad had a proper home-going celebration. Also, thank you to Valerie Breeden-Mitchell, Mike Breeden, Maggie Ray and Pastor George D. Steele and the Hallelujah Baptist Church Family.
