William Mitchell

Greensboro- Mr. William Melvin Mitchell, 87 passed away on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 15, 1926 in Cabarrus County, NC the son of the late Ernest Mitchell and Mary Allison Mitchell.

William worked for Washington State Bureau for many years.

Survivors include, his daughter, Pamela H. Little of the home; children he raised, Ernest (Doris) Johnson of Maryland, Harold Smith, Concord, NC, Herbert (Wanda) Thomas and Barbara Ezell all of Virginia; granddaughter, Atiya Howell of Winston Salem; six great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Homegoing Service for Mr. Mitchell will be 11a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at People's Funeral Chapel. Arrangements entrusted to People's Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc.
