William "Bill" Lynch

August 21, 1940 — January 13, 2024

Mr. William Tilmon Lynch, departed his earthly home on Saturday, January 13, 2024. William was also affectionately known as “Mr. Bill, or Dollar Bill.” was born on August 21, 1940, to the late Mrs. Dorothy Wright Lynch and Mr. Otis Dale Lynch, in Clio, South Carolina. William was the youngest of three children. He was educated in the Marlboro County School System in South Carolina. His Christian life was rooted at the Asbury United Methodist Church in Clio, South Carolina. Bill moved to Brooklyn, New York at the tender age of 15, to live with his father. He graduated from Alexander Hamilton Vocational High School in Brooklyn, New York. He met the love of his life, Elizabeth Williams, while in New York. They married on December 24, 1959, and from the 56 years of marriage, they gave birth to four amazing children. Bill found gainful employment at General Motors Company until his retirement. If you knew Bill, you also knew he was a true hustler. He owned a pool hall, and offered people rides to work for a small fee just to name a few. Bill was a member of the Holy House of Prayer for All People, until he relocated to High Point, North Carolina, in 1995 with his wife and grandchildren, Quanisha, Karon, Sharena, Timothy, Kaciem, Keith, and TaQuan Lynch. He joined the Living Water Baptist Church. Bill was an active and devoted member of the Trustee Board, where he served as Chairman of Trustees. He also served on the Kitchen Committee. Bill’s love for his church was unmatched, as he wanted the church to look like his home, if not better than his own home. To be in Bill’s presence was nothing more than a blessing, He loved his family. He enjoyed telling jokes, playing cards, and washing his Cadillac. He was true Cadillac man. He gave a lot of his time, talents, and treasure to many people because he was just that type of person. More could be said, but to know him was to love him dearly. Bill was preceded by his wife, Mrs. Elizabeth Williams Lynch; two children, Timothy “Kaciem” Lynch and Sandra Lynch; two brothers, Otis and Willie Lynch. He leaves to cherish his memories to his two loving children; Debera Lynch (Kevin), of Harlem, New York and Ronald “Ron” Lynch (Delanie Windley) of Brooklyn, New York; his grandchildren, Quanisha Lynch, ShaKia Lynch, Sharena Lynch, Karon Lynch, Timothy Lynch, Kaciem Lynch, Keith Lynch, TaQuan Lynch, Dante Cheatham, Janee Jenkins, Imani Lynch, Ronald Lynch, Jr., Isaiah Long; his brother, Derek Richardson of Brooklyn, New York; two goddaughters, Simone Long, Columbia, South Carolina, and Elaine Miles, Brooklyn, New York; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
