William Berry

William "Bill" Curtis Berry, 73, of High Point, NC, passed away on Thursday, august 9, 2012, at High Point Regional Hospital. William was born in Philadelphia, PA, on January 2, 1939, s son of William and Louise Massey Berry.

After graduation of high school, he relocated to High Point and enlisted in the US Army. After an honorable discharge he married the love of his life, Lula Pickens, together they raised one daughter. He attended Guilford College for two years.

Wiliam retired from K-Mart Departments Stores as a manager after many years of dedication.

He was a faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy, where he served on the Men's Ministry, Adult Sunday School, Mission's Circle, Care Group Band and sang on the Male choral Group. He diligently served on the Church Security Committee and Usher Board. William enjoyed reading spiritual literature and putting puzzles together.

His parents and one sister, Elaine Berry preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of the home, Lula P. Berry, whom he enjoyed marriage of 49 years, One daughter, Cynthia Berry of High Point, NC, one granddaughter, Letisha Berry of High Point, NC, one niece, Louisia Berry of Oneida, FL, a host of other relatives and friends.
