Mr. Wilbert Delano McCall age 71, of High Point, NC, affectionately known as "Bo" by his family and friends, departed this earthly life on Friday, May 22, 2026. Bo shared a deep and enduring love for his beloved wife, whose passing left a profound void in his life. Though he carried on with strength, his heart was never the same, and he has now found peace-reunited with the love of his life.
Bo was born March 1, 1955, in High Point, NC to the late Wilbert and Ruth Sellers McCall. He attended High Point City Schools and later dedicated many years of hard work in the manufacturing industry. He went on to work at Crescent Ford for many years, where he faithfully served until his retirement.
Bo was known for laid-back spirit and love for sports. He especially enjoyed watching games and cheering on his favorite team, the San Francisco 49ers. More than anything, he valued the love and connection of family.
He was preceded in death by the recent passing of his beloved wife, Mattie Smith McCall; his parents; two sisters, Virginia "Ruthie" Lee McCall, and Sheron Hildred McCall.
He leaves to cherish his memory three children: Eric (Charity A) Smith, Shaun Smith, and Ryheem (Chanel) McCall; three sisters: Shelby McCall, Carlesias McCall, and KaySandra McCall all of High Point, NC; one brother, Thaddeus (Dianne) McCall of High Point, NC; along with a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Bo will be remembered for his quiet strength, his love for his family, and the lasting impact he made on those who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
