. Mr. Tommy Lee Brown was born May 28, 1950, in Randolph County, NC to the late Clarence Eli Brown and Hozie Gibson Brown. Tommy was delivered from his pain and suffering and made his transition on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

He was educated in Randolph County Public School System, Afterwards, he was drafted into the US Army where he served two years in Alaska. He shared many stories on how he spent many days of two to three hours of daylight and temperatures below zero, climbing glaciers and grizzly bears!!

Tommy later worked in the furniture industry for Marsh Armfield. He was a lifetime member of St. Mary’s UMC in Trinity, NC. Where he served on the UMM Men’s Ministry, usher board and gospel choir. He could be heard singing lead on many of the songs. His favorite song was Cooling Water by Lee Williams. 

In addition to his parents, Tommy was also preceded in death by five brothers; four sisters; two sisters-in-law, and two brothers-in-law. 

Leaving to cherish him memories are his wife of 43 years. Kathy Goss Brown of the home; two brothers, Venson Brown and Roland Brown of High Point, NC; nieces, Linda Glover of Greensboro, NC, Yvette (Larnzo) Ratliff of Thomasville, NC; nephews, Lavandus and Larry Brown of High Point, NC; other nieces, nephews, and relatives; sister-in-law, Kim Goss (James) and brother-in-law, Billy Hairston.
