Tanya Arrington

August 8, 1964 — June 5, 2010

Today, we celebrate the life of Ms. Tanya Denene Arrington , born in High Point, NC on August 8, 1964. She passed away early Saturday morning, June 5, 2010, from a brief battle with lung cancer at High Point Regional Hospital. She was the daughter of William "Pete" Arrington and the late JoAnn Charles Arrington. Tanya was also preceded in death by her grandmother, Mary Louise Charles and her aunt, Brenda Charles.

Tanya accepted Christ at a young age and attended First Emmanuel Baptist Church with her family. She graduated from T. Wingate Andrews High School in 1982 and East Carolina University in 1987, for a brief period, Tanya resided and worked in Martinsville and Meadowview, VA, for the last five years, she was employed with Citi Cards in Martinsville, NC, as a Senior Manager until her declining health.

Surviving relatives to cherish her memories are her father, William Arrington and her brother, Greg Dewayne Arrington both of Greensboro, NC., two nieces, Courtney Arrington of Chapel Hill, NC and Tamiah Arrington of Greensboro, NC, three uncles, Greg Charles of Greensboro, NC, Terry Charles of High Point, NC and Ricky Charles and his wife Sharonda of Lawton, OK, first cousins, Jamey Gillespie and his wife Angeiel, Twanna "Missy" Gillespie, Greg "Speedy" Charles and his wife Mimi, Tamara :Mickey" Charles, Lynda Shannon, Marthany Charles and Tiara Gant, special cousins, Willette Jones and James "Spanky" Johnson, Close friends of the family; Althea Spears and Bernice Quick, best friends, Darricka Sorrells, Alicia Durham and Necollette Morgan, other relatives and friends who loved her dearly.
