Steven Dewayne Nelson was born on April 17, 1973, in High Point, NC to Mr. Lewis Nelson and Mrs. Margaret Cotton Nelson. Steven attended the Guilford County Public Schools. He worked at Thomas Buses as an Assembly Technician.
Steven enjoyed being around his family and friends, traveling and watching sports. He was a true fan of the Carolina Tarheel and Washington Commanders. To know Steve, you knew he was a very sharp dresser from head to his hood sneakers.
He was preceded in death by his father; his only brother, Michael Nelson; maternal grandparents, Louise and Leroy Cotton and paternal grandparents, Ethelene and Mack Nelson.
Left to celebrate his life and loving memories are his children; Essience Nelson, Jamod’e (Zieaira) Martin, Tiya Davis all of Thomasville NC, his mother, Margaret Nelson of High Point NC; grandchildren, Journee Martin, Oassiah Davis, Ashton Martin, his siblings, Angela Nelson-Banks of High Point NC and Kimberly Nelson of Thomasville, NC; William Nelson, Uriah Nelson, O. B. Nelson, and Isaiah Nelson of Durham NC; his fiancé, Keisha Roberts of Winston Salem, NC; and a host of uncles, aunts, godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
