Nashay Young Wood, 42, of Lawrenceville, GA departed this earthly life on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Gwinnett Medical Center in Lawrenceville. She was welcomed into this world on March 23, 1973 to John Henry and Sarah Gainey Young in High Point. Shay was married to Thomas Wood and had one child. She leaves her husband, Thomas Wood and son, Gene Wood both of the home; mother, Sarah Gainey Young of High Point; father, Henry and step-mother, “Cat” of High Point; brothers, Henry Young Jr. of Atlanta, GA, Jerri (Darcy) Young, Johnathan Young all of High Point, Justin Young of Las Vegas, NV and Jeremi Young of Greensboro.
