Shatina Rivers

Trinity- Shatina Renee Rivers, age 37, of Trinity, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 in High Point. She was born December 16, 1975, the daughter of Gwendolyn Rivers and Calvin York. She was a graduate of Trinity High School, class of 1994. She later received her Associate Degree in Pharmacy Technology, and was currently a student at Guilford Technical Community College pursuing her LPN License. Shatina was a faithful and committed employee with Westwood Nursing Facility as a CNA for 19 years. She was also a devoted person to her family and always delighted in their gatherings. Loved ones who preceded her in death are her maternal grandparents, Mr. Hardie and Mrs. Catherine Rivers, also a close cousin, Alicia McCluney. She leaves to cherish her memories, her mother, Gwendolyn Rivers of the home, Calvin (Juanita) York of High Point; sister, Chrislyn Bright of High Point; four aunts, Catherine Haney, Josephine Crawford and Yvonne (Ricky) McCluney all of High Point and Evg. Lenora (Bishop Greg) Bennett of Wadesboro, NC; four uncles, Joseph (Wanda) Rivers of Winston Salem, Gaines (Pamela) Rivers of High Point, Tony Rivers of the home and Ronald (Michelle) Rivers of High Point; a very special friend, Darrell Tillman; numerous cousins and friends.
