Sandra Weathers

October 12, 1962 — February 18, 2024

A Celebration of Life for Sandra Robinson Weathers, affectionately known as "Sassy." Sandra Douglas Robinson Weathers "Sassy" was born October 12, 1962, in High Point, North Carolina, to the late Douglas "Johnny" Robinson and Dennie Reid Robinson. Sandra accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized, becoming a longtime member of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church in High Point, North Carolina. She graduated from High Point Central High School in 1980, where she was a member of the marching band. Sandra furthered her education at UNC - Greensboro, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology. Sandra began her career at the High Point Public Library and soon met and married the love of her life, her darling Brian. Sandra soon advanced to customer service rep at the Education Center in Greensboro, North Carolina, where she was employed for twenty years. While employed with the Education Center, Sandra was also co-owner of the popular Sassy's Restaurant and Nightclub in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A layoff from the Education Center was a blessing in disguise as Sandra became a loving and primary caregiver to her mother who was declining in health. Sandra was the point person in compassionate daily care of Mrs. Robinson until her death in 2012. "Sassy" was respected and appreciated by her siblings and family for her steadfast, selfless, and dedicated commitment to the wellbeing of Mrs. Robinson. In addition to her parents, Sandra was preceded in death by one brother, John Robinson, and sister-in-law, Janet Staton. Sandra is survived by: her loving husband of 33 years, Brian Lamont Weathers; siblings, Armond Staton, Frankie Staton of Nashville, TN, Stephen (Avis) Robinson, Jeané Robinson of Charleston, SC, Paul (Avis) Robinson and Demetrice (David) Graham; a very special niece who was like a sister, Aprielle "Penny" (Larry) McLean of Winston-Salem, NC; father-in-law, Reverend Eddie (Annie) Weathers; mother-in-law, Dorothy Morton Stout; two sisters-in-law, Angela Obi and Barbara (Frederick Tyson) Weathers; three brothers-in-law, Alex Harrison, Johnny Stout, and Travis (Brandy) Stout; two aunts, Barbara Harrison and Minister Virginia Griffin; three nieces; three nephews; five great nieces; nine great-nephews; and a host of loving cousins and very dear friends.
