Roy Anthony Moore Roy known as “Big Roy” was born on April 13,1968 to Helen J. Moore and the late LeRoy Moore. He was called to glory at his home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022.
Roy graduated from Southwest Guilford High School in 1987.
Anyone who knew “Big Roy,” knew next to his Cowboys his family and friends meant the world to him. He married his best friend, lifetime companion, his ride or die, the love of his life Vaneeta Ingram on May 20,1989. They celebrated 33 years of marriage together.
Aside from being a singing man he was a mentor, a role model, scout master, and a coach of many sports. He grew up on the east side of High Point where he was deeply loved by everyone who he came in contact with. He never met any strangers.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leroy Moore; his paternal grandparents, Hessie Quick-Moore and Thomas Moore; maternal grandparents, Lucille Jones and James Jones; and his grandson, Shawn K. Buie.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife, Vaneeta Ingram of the home; his mother Helen Moore of High Point, NC; his one and only sister, CaTina L. Moore of High Point, NC; two children, Roy Alexander Ingram (Domonique) of Texas and Tiffini Nitisha Moore (Duriel) of Winston-Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Peyton, Ayden, Ari’Anna, Riley, and Ryan; a special uncle that he loved dearly John Moore (Annie); a special nephew, Kyle “Foster” Ingram; a niece and nephew, Nautica and Nicholas both of High Point, NC; a close and special friend, Lawanna; host of aunts, cousins, god children, four bonus nieces, nephews, brother and sisters-in-laws, friends and relatives.
