Rodger Rapheal Davis was born on April 27, 1966 in Mullins, South Carolina to Earl Simmons and Versie Mae Davis. In October, 1970, due to the passing of his maternal grandmother; the family moved from Mullins, South Carolina to High Point, North Carolina. Rodger lived in High Point, North Carolina until his untimely passing on Wednesday, October 12, 2022.
Rodger attended Guilford County Public Schools. He was very helpful and loved telling stories that made people laugh. Rodger could always be found helping others, cutting grass, painting and fixing whatever he could find. Due to his passion to fix things, Rodger enrolled into Guildford Technical Community College, where he obtained several certifications; especially in the field of carpentry. Rodger loved his family and friends dearly. He could always be found at any gathering, as the life of the party. He loved to dance and play cards.
Rodger leaves to cherish his loving memory his father Earl Simmons, mother Versie Davis and his Godfather Charles Stevenson. His three sisters Racheal D. Carroll, Petula V. Davis, Kayetta D. Davis, and his brother Jason E. Davis all of High Point, North Carolina. He also leaves to share his memory his uncles Ralph Davis of Rochester, New York, John (Ruby) Davis of High Point, North Carolina. His aunts Eloise West of High Point, NC, Bobby Jean (Cletus) Johnson of Cedar Square, NC, Maude Davis of Winnsboro, SC, Ako Jackson of High Point, NC one special friend Mr. Matthews. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends. All of whom will miss him dearly.
