Robert Dennis Sr.

July 12, 1948 — August 4, 2021

Elder Robert Dennis Sr. age 73 of High Point, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, while at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC.

Mr. Dennis was born in Tallahassee, FL on July 12, 1948, to the late WillieRuth Abner Dennis and Isaac Dennis.

He graduated from Oakwood Academy in 1969.  He was married to the late Mae Stokes Dennis.  Elder Dennis joined fellowship with the church at the tender age of 12.  He served as an Elder for the church and loved to sing for the Lord and lead out within the song service.

In addition to his parents and his wife, Elder Dennis was also preceded in death by two brothers, Samuel Dennis and Willie James Dennis and one sister, Vanessa Ellington.

He leaves the cherish his loving memories to his children: Robert Dennis Jr., Anthony L. Dennis, Lita Mae Dennis and Tyrone Dennis; grandchildren, Josiah Dennis, Jaquola Dennis, Jacari Burton, Makaylah Allen, Zaikeyra Dennis, Neriah Dennis, Malachi Dennis, Ezekiel Dennis, Jaquallia Brown; great-grandchildren, Paige Brinson, Maliyah Burton and Ilena Curry; one brother, Baron Ellington; two sisters, Kathleen Otey and Lillie M. Dennis; a host of other relatives and friends.
