Pearlie Barnes

Mrs. Pearlie Mae Barnes, 73, departed this earthly life on Saturday, June 6, 2015, at Hospice Home at High Point. She was born on March 30, 1942, in Shelby, North Carolina to the Juanita Clark.

Pearlie was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Ministry and on the Kitchen Commitee until her health declined. She was a woman of great faith. She enjoyed planting flowers and watching western movies. Pearlie was a caring and loving mother and grandmother with a wonderful sense of humor.

Pearlie was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan "Weasel" Barnes and her mother.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Charles Smarr, Diane Smarr and Evelyn Smarr, Grandchildren she raised as her own, Ricky Smarr, Antwan Smarr, Cory Smarr and Michael Smarr, Three special cousins, Elijah, Darlene and Vivian Clark, great -grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
