Norma Schalk

Norma Jean Schalk, age 80, passed away on April 11, 2019 at Curis Nursing Home in Thomasville, NC.  She was born October 27, 1938 in High Point, NC.

Norma, who everyone called “Nana,” even if you weren’t hers, worked hard her whole life to take care of her family.  She was the family back bone.  It didn’t matter if you were right or wrong she would help you. Anyone that met her felt loved and generosity and they never left hungry.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Myrtle Nichols Ruddock and James Ruddock; her son, Kenneth Draughn Jr.; two brothers, James Ruddock Jr. and Charles Ruddock.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are her two daughters, Bobbie Susan Proctor and Tanya Schalk; her sister, Brenda Ingram and brother Tommy Ruddock; five grandchildren, Sonya Powers, James Powers James Kennedy Jr., Brandon Wood and Carrie Passmore; eight great grandchildren; Christopher McRae, Syniah Burns, Jaylen Powers, Kai Powers, Malaki Kennedy, Bentley Kennedy and Blake Kennedy. She was loved very much and will be missed tremendously❤️.
