Nancy Zimmerman

Mrs. Nancy Jane Stuckey Zimmerman, age 77 departed this earthly life on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.  She was born on June 10, 1941 in Marlboro County, SC to the late Nancy Brown Stuckey and James Stuckey.

She was educated in Marlboro County Schools.  At an early age she accepted Christ as her personal savior and was a member of Greater St. James Missionary Baptist Church.  She was united in marriage to the late John Wesley Zimmerman Sr.

Nancy later relocated to High Point, NC, and joined Buffong Ministry and Mercy Outreach Church of Deliverance.  She worked for Amos Hosiery Mills for 25 years.  She enjoyed sewing, reading the bible and doing crossword puzzles.  Her inspiration was ministering and helping those in need.  Nancy encouraged many people as she served as the mother of the church.  She was a loving, caring and nurturing mother and grandmother to her family.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Zimmerman Sr.; one daughter, Linda Zimmerman; four brothers, three sisters; two grandchildren, Kisha Cobb and Brian Cobb.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories to: five children, Cathy (Marvin) Alford of Bennettsville, SC, Deborah (Harold) Thomas of Columbia, SC, John Zimmerman Jr. of the home, Irma Zimmerman of High Point, NC and Keith (Elsie) of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren she reared in home; James (Kanecia) Zimmerman of Chapel Hill, NC and Rodriquez Zimmerman of High Point, NC; a god-daughter, Jackie Johnson; one sister, Ruth (William) McRae of Bennettsville, SC; grandchildren, Tony, Dee, MaKesha, John, Shawn, Johnnisha, Linda, Jamye, Alex, Brian and Justin; 28 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Gloria (George) Christian; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
