Ms. Clara L. Nicholson

Clara L. Nicholson was born on December 20, 1933, in (Mount Gilead) Montgomery County, North Carolina to Annie M. Little. She departed this life at her residence.

Clara was employed as a furniture inspector at Alma Desk and Burlington Industries, Inc., where she dedicated over 25 years of faithful services. She was a woman of strong faith, known for being outspoken and for standing firmly on doing what was right. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and cooking and most of all she loved dancing.

At an early age, she confessed her faith and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Emmanual Rucker. The church is now under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Frank K. Thomas. She remained a devoted and faithful member throughout her life and especially enjoyed participating in the Golden Age ministry and fellowship outings.

She was preceded in death by her two sons, Dennis Nicholson and Billy R. Nicholson; one daughter, Sarah Yvonne Peat; three sisters, Bernice “Bunch” Thomas, Ruth Little and Tereas Little six brothers, Rufus Little, Charlie Little, James Little, Pernell Little and Walter “Bo Pete” Little.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her granddaughters, Kisha Peat (Terrance Lovett), Erica Peat (Corey Harris), Mica Belo, Sequoia Nicholson, and Kayla Nicholson.

Special love one’s nephew Wayne Little and family friend, Sharon H. Lipscomb. Clara also leaves behind fourteen great-grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, daughters-in-law, extended family members and dear friends who will forever treasure her memory.
