Mrs. Lee Anna Williams

Mrs. LeeAnna McRae Williams, age 86, entered eternal rest on Sunday, October 30, 2022, while at Hospice of the Piedmont-High Point. She was born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, on April 12, 1936, the daughter of the late Anna McRae. Mrs. Williams was united in holy matrimony to Mr. Leroy Williams and to their devoted, loving, and blessed union three sons were born, Roger, Gary, and Timothy. Mrs. Williams worked at Leggett & Platt for 66 years as a machine operator. She had a hobby as a seamstress and enjoyed making her own clothes. She was a long-time member of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful usher. Later, she joined Solid Rock Baptist Church, where she remained a faithful and loyal member. Mrs. Williams was a beautiful woman, who will be remembered for her soft-spoken voice, gentle spirit, family values, stylish clothing, designer hats, and lavish jewelry. Mrs. Williams appreciated fashion so much, she would dress classy before going grocery shopping with her husband. He would have to wait until she had everything just right. Mrs. Williams was very supportive of her husband, even during his unexpected early retirement. She continued to work to provide for her family. They enjoyed traveling together to many parts of world. Mrs. Williams was a reliable mother to her sons. She would always tell them, “call me if you need me, day or night, your momma and daddy will be here for you.” Mrs. Williams showed love to everyone and treated them with dignity. She had the voice of an Angel, and she will genuinely be remembered. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her mother and four brothers, Henry McRae, Leroy McRae, Tom McRae, and Edgar “Q.T.” McRae. Mrs. Williams will be lovingly remembered by: her devoted, committed, loving, and wonderful husband of 66 years, Mr. Leroy Williams of the home; three amazing sons, Roger (Audrey) Williams of High Point, NC, Gary (Cathy) Williams of Orlando, FL, and Timothy Williams of Winston Salem, NC; five grandchildren, Timeya Williams, Keon Williams, Aaron Williams, James Williams, and Ashley Williams; two sisters, Mattie McKiver of Bennettsville, SC, and Margaret DeBerry of Hartford, CT; best friend, Mary Ingram; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, church family, and friends.
