Mr. Josh "Shorty" Baskin Jr.

Mr. Josh Baskin, Jr. was born in Chesterfield County, SC on March 31, 1941, to Eloise and Josh Baskin, Sr. Mr. Baskin has resided in High Point, NC for over 50 years. In 1974, he was united in marriage to Ruth Mae Warren. Josh was a well-known mechanic and loved drag racing. He loved going to the drag strip and spending time with his family and loved ones; any chance that he got. He is preceded in death by, his wife, Ruth Mae Baskin; parents, Eloise and Josh Baskin Sr.; grandson, Dylan Joshua Hamilton; sisters, Wilma (Daniel) Harrington, Helen McQueen, Annie Byndloss, Judy (Willie) Baskin, Ella Noir Harrington, Cynthia Harrington, Elsie Williams and Clara Mae James; brothers, Daniel (Wilma) Harrington, Leonard Warren, Richard Alexander Warren, and Robert Lee Warren Surviving to cherish his memories include; his daughters, Nichole Baskin, JoAnn Harrington, Gail Harrington, and Mechon (Michael) McKever; three sons, Larry Dewitt, Michael (Mechon) McKever, and Darell Harrington; siblings, four brothers, Thomas (Sarah) Baskin, Lender Baskin, Robert (Carroll) Baskin, Willie (Judy) Baskin; two sisters, Mary Morrisonand Gloria Baskin; 14 grandchildren, Baylei McKever, Michael McKever II, Thomas Baskin, Cameron Baker, Jasmine (Dennisha) Martin, Ka’rell Harrington, Danaya Harrington, Jamar Harrington, Caiden Spencer, Caleb Spencer, Tessa Harrington, Jeffrey Harrington, Taraji Harrington and Dalyssia Harrington; special nieces and nephews: Kathy Mason, Tumika McManus, and Donnie Moore; in-laws, James McKever, Thomas (Betty) Warren, Charles Warren, Rufus Kirby, and Thomas Spencer; Mary (Preston) Williams, Rachel Studivant, Ericka (Thomas) Abraham, Ruby (James) Harrington, Martha Harrington, Evelyn Brown, Lois Little; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
