Michael Brand

Michael Brand, son of the late Wilson & Doretha Brand Quick was born in High Point, NC on September 13th, 1963. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. 

He united with his home church Community Deliverance Holiness Church of God, Inc. Apostle Angeline Sumpter, “Aunt Lene.” 

He attended High Point Public Schools. He was a childcare provider with A+ Childcare Center & Freedom Cathedral Children's Academy.  He also worked as a painter. 

Michael was loved by many.  His specialty was helping people.  He took special care of his auntie Betty Wall whom he called Mama. 

Michael’s favorite Gospel Artists were Lee Williams & QC’s, The Canton Spirituals and Paul Porter & The Christianaires.  He loved to hear his brother-in-law sing, Elder Timothy Blackmon.

He was preceded in death by grandparents: Lawrence & Lela Mae Brand, Beauford and Martha Quick; one sister, Lisa Quick-Cagle; six aunts, Dorothy Williams, Minnie Terry, Mary McCallum, Johnnie Mae Brand, Libby Quick & Gloria Middleton; five uncles, Willie and Leroy Brand, Henry James Williams, Ernest Wall, and Grady Quick; one special cousin, Tommy Williams. 

Michael will be greatly missed by his four sisters: Elder Cynthia Blackmon (Elder Tim), Annette Craven (Clifton), Barbara Briley (Henry), and Cynthia Quick; two brothers. Wilbert Brand & Ricky Quick (Rachel); three aunts, Apostle Angeline Sumpter (Deacon Cal), Betty M. Walls & Mary Brand; three uncles, Wilson McCallum, Hubert Quick (Vonzell), and Bishop David Terry; his fiancé’ Twanetta Gantt.

Michael's childhood buddies (cousins); Brenda “Robin” Davis, Jacqueline McCallum-Davis, Ronald Sumpter, James, John, and Keith Brand; special cousins, James, Johnny, Vicky, Penny, Dot, Thelma, and Brenda; six special nieces, Joneaka, Faith, Tonya, Melinda, Dorcey and Shaneaka; also, Stephane Morehead for how she has been such a blessing to Michael; special thanks to Gloria Harrison and a host of other relatives and friends.
