Mazuria Smith Eaddy

Mazuria Smith Eaddy departed this life on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at her residence. She was 61 years old.

Mazuria was born in Bennettsville, SC on September 14, 1946, to Hannah Hodges Smith and the late Jack Smith Sr. At an early age the family moved to the Trinity/High Point, NC area where she has been a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of William Penn High School.

October 31, 1963, she married John (Bobby) Eaddy. She was last employed at Southern Die Casting. Mazuria was a member of Righteous in Christ Ministry.

Mazuria was preceded in death by her father, Jack Smith Sr., her mother-in-law, Mosella Eaddy and a sister, Elizabeth McGirt.

Mazuria leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, John Eaddy of High Point, a son, John Eaddy Jr of New Haven, CT, a daughter, Carolyn Hunter, her mother, Hannah Smith Norwood of the home, four sisters, Martha (Charles) Bailey of High Point, NC, Rebecca Payne of Fort Walton Beach, FL, Mary Smith of High Point, NC, Easter (Elijah) Rivers of High Point, NC, three brothers, Jack (Georgia) Smith of High Point, NC, James Smith of High Point, NC and Dion J. Smith of Greensboro, NC., two brothers-in-law, Sam B. Eaddy of High Point, NC and Frank Eaddy of Charlotte, NC, sister-in-law, Lillie (James) Smith of High Point, NC, seven grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
