Mattie Smith McCall

Mrs. Mattie Smith McCall age 68, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, in the comfort of her husband’s arms at home.

Mattie was born January 25, 1958, in Dillon, SC to the late Sam Smith and Eloise McFadden Smith. She was educated in the Dillon County Public School System. She later relocated to High Point, NC and worked in the manufacturing industry. Mattie was married to Wilbert “Bo” McCall.

Mattie was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Ann Carol Coachman, Abigail Smith and Carley Smith, six brothers, Richard Smith, Palmer Smith, Stoney Smith, Lawrence Smith, Larry Smith and Carl McFadden Smith; aunts, Minnie Joe “Grandma,” McFadden and aunt, Nett Smith; mother-in-law, Mrs. Ruth McCall and her sister-in-law and best friend Virginia (Weenie) McCall.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her devoted husband of 56 years, Mr. Wilbert “Bo” McCall of the home; three sons, Eric (Charity A.) Smith, Shaun Smith and Ryheem (Chanel) McCall; two sisters, Diane Bethea of Dillon, SC, and Rose Smith of High Point, NC; two brothers, Francis Smith of High Point, NC and Roger Smith of Greensboro, NC; a host of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
