Mary Gash

Mary Francis Koon Gash, 81, passed away on Sunday, September 3, 2017.  Mary, a native of Mars Hill, NC was born August 9, 1936 to the late Howard and Lena Young Koon.

Mary attended the former Allen High School in Asheville, NC.  Mary resided most of her life in Asheville, NC.  She was a member of the River of Life Church of God in Christ in High Point, NC with Pastor Joseph Bass III.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Gash; brothers, George, John and Adolphus Koon; sisters, Janice Koon and Lucille Johnson.

Surviving family members include: brothers, Robert Koon, Charles Koon and Calvin Koon; sisters, Eva Whiteside, Martha (Billy) Gardenhight, Ruthie Lynch and Gladys Gibson; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friend, James Quick; other relatives and friends.
