Martha Johnson Williams, 81 of High Point, NC passed away peacefully Tuesday

January 6, 2026, at home. She was born July 31, 1944, in Clio, South Carolina. She was one of the nine children born to the union of the late James and Arlene McRae. She was raised and educated in Marlboro County until she moved to High Point, NC. Martha was a faithful member of Living Waters Baptist Church until her health declined. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant with Caring Hands Home Health until her health declined. She was previously employed in hosiery mills, driving tractor trailers, school buses, and taxi cabs. One thing about Martha was that she was going to work a job. In her spare time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, going to yard sales and flea markets, shopping, and gardening. 

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her son Milton Lee Johnson; brothers Charles, Neil, and James McRae; sisters Ruby Carter, Alethea Covington and Maggie Johnson.

She leaves to cherish her memories children Diane (Lee Bennett) Johnson, Carlottia (Bobby) Everrett, Timothy (Kimberly) Young all of High Point; two sisters Barbara A.Johnson of Clio and Annie Ruth Jefferey of Bennettsville; grandchildren Sherita (Darius) Hale, Lesslie Graham, Chequilla (Derrick) Hansley, Nakiia (Tron) Johnson, Dominic Southerland, Hasheen Johnson, Lee Charles Bennett Jr., Eboni Johnson, Brittany (Jeffrey) Shaw, Terrance McKoy, Dante (Ieasha) Johnson, Richard Dixon Jr., Recardo (Marquisia) Dixon, Gliineeshaa ( Michael ) Turner; 31 great grandchildren; 6 great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends; goddaughter/niece Martha A. Sample and a special friend Mattie Willams.

The family would like to thank Hospice of High Point and her niece Ruthener Carter for the care given to our loved one during her time of illness.
