Marian S. Marshall-Sanders

 Marian Sonia Marshall Sanders, 62, passed away on February 3, 2026, in High Point, North Carolina. She was born on July 27, 1963, in Thomasville, North Carolina.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Joe Lewis Mickens, who passed away when she was young, and Norise (Marshall) Spencer; the father who lovingly raised her, Reginald Spencer; and her sister, Gail Mickens.

Marian was a devout member of her church and remained active in her faith throughout her life. She held many roles over the years, but she found her greatest joy working as a childcare aide. She rarely missed an opportunity to take a photo and was known for capturing everyday moments.

Family was central to Marian’s life. She was a loving spouse, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend who treasured every moment spent with those she loved.

She is survived by her spouse, Timothy Wayne Sanders; her children, Kamel Marshall of Trinity, NC, Manuel Navedo of Reading, PA, Jessica Dawson of Reading, PA, Cordell Marshall Southworth of High Point, NC, stepdaughter Taneisha Sanders of Thomasville, NC and stepson Jadarius Jackson of Greensboro, NC; thirteen grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters, Tereasa Mickens and Denise (Spencer) Bryant, both of Reading, PA and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
