Mother Margaret Stroud

On Sunday, June 21, 2026, God dispatched an angel and called home Ms. Margaret Cullins Stroud at the beautiful age of 96.

She was born on May 13, 1930, to the late Grover Tyson and Alta Cullins.

A lifelong resident of High Point, Ms. Margaret was affectionately known as "Sis" by many who knew and loved her. She was a faithful member of First Emmanuel Baptist Church, where she served as one of the Mothers of the Church and sang in the choir. She was employed by Marsh Furniture Company until her retirement. In her leisure time, she enjoyed taking daily walks with her friends at the Morehead Recreation Center and cherished vacationing with her children.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Gloria Cullins and Debra "Meatball" Cullins; her siblings, Mary Cullins Gibson, Betty Cullins Raper, Mattie Cullins Chapman, Spencer Cullins, and Willie Cullins; her grandchildren, KaTina Cullins and Rayvon Cullins; and her great-grandson, Rayshaon Williams.

Ms. Margaret leaves to cherish her loving memory her children, Kelsey Cullins and Grover "Dad" Cullins; her special granddaughter and devoted caregiver, Dana Cullins; her other grandchildren, Betty Penn, Erika Gamble, Darryl Cullins, and Sandy Cullins; her great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear community friends.

Her love, faith, kindness, and gentle spirit will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
