Luke Junior Diggs III

Mr. Luke Junior Diggs III, known as “Coot” departed this earthly life on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 60 years old. Luke was born in Carthage, NC on July 24, 1965, to Luke Junior Diggs II and Gracie Mae Fitzpatrick Diggs.

He was educated in public schools. Luke loved to dance and fish. He also had a natural talent to draw.

Luke was preceded in death by father, Luke Junior Diggs II; two sisters, Catherine Smith and Darlene Diggs; and a brother, James Thomas Diggs; paternal grandparents, Luke Junior Diggs and Hattie Mae Diggs; maternal grandparents; maternal grandparents, Will and Viola Ellerbe; two sisters-in-law, Deborah Diggs and Jean Diggs.

He leaves to cherish his memories to one son: Luke Ingram (Bianica Lil John); three grandchildren, Shaguan, Raiden and Mariah Ingram; his mother, Gracie Mae Diggs; one sister, Mae Sallie Ellerbe (James Llyod); two brothers, Joe Lewis Digg and James Junior Diggs (Debra Diggs); special friend, Mary Ingram; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
