Lizzie Armstrong

Mrs. Lizzie Mae Armstrong, age 74, of High Point, NC went home to live with our Heavenly Father, on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at High Point Regional Hospital. She was born on February 23, 1940 in Rockingham County, NC to Mrs. Blondie Allen. Lizzie attended William Penn High Point High School. She was a former employee of Myrtle Desk. Lizzie was joy to everyone who encountered her presence. She was an active and faithful member of Solid Rock Baptist. There was never a moment Lizzie wouldn't honor and give our Lord the praise. Through our her sickness, pain and long suffering Lizzie managed to keep a smile of grace on her face and never complained. She was married to Johnny Armstrong Sr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Armstrong Sr., her mother, Blondie Allen; two daughters, Frenchie Armstrong and Gilda Bishop; one great grandson, Jaden Armstrong and one brother, Clarence Gould. Lizzie leaves to cherish her legacy; two daughters, Chiquita Armstrong Johnson of Greensboro, NC and Johnetta (Minister William) Brown of High Point, NC; one brother, Johnny (Marie) Swinney of Bronx, NY; nine grandchildren, Candice Armstrong and Johnny Armstrong II both of the home, Tamekia Armstrong of High Point, NC and Nakia Bridges of Greensboro, NC, Eugina Armstrong of Winston Salem, NC, Rickey Twitty of Greensboro, NC, Jermaine Armstrong of High Point, NC, Brianca Branch of Greensboro, NC, and Lushuana Armstrong of High Point, NC; six great grandchildren, Zaria, Jaylah, Johnny, Jaleha, Kolby, and Cameron; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, although not named, you were very special her. Those who were near and dear to her heart include: LaFrances Walls, Mary Reece, Jerry Allen, Crystal (Lee) Henderson; a special friend and her caretaker, Marcella Clark.
