Lillian McCall

Lillian Holder McCall, age 85 a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully departed this earthly life on Thursday, February 8, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 26, 1938, in Johnson County, NC to her parents, Herman and Callie Scarboro Holder.  

She later married David McCall on November 4, 1961, and they relocated to High Point, NC.

Lillian was a former employee at Royal Development Metal where she dedicated her time and talent.  Her culinary talents made it a passion for her to cook.  She delighted in preparing meals for her loved ones. Lillian also had a green thumb and possessed a natural gift for gardening.

She had a special place in her heart for children and served as a beloved babysitter to many. Her patience, kindness, and love were evident in the way she interacted with the children she cared for, leaving a lasting impact on their lives. 

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Callie Holder; husband, David McCall; one son, Kenneth Ray McCall; one sister Elizabeth Holder; one granddaughter; and four brothers, Arlander Holder, Thurmann Holder, Herman Holder, and Edward Holder.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her daughters; Gloria McCall, Linda “Joyce” McCall, and Lisa McCall, and her son, David “Paul” (Susan) McCall; sisters, Callie McDaniel, Edna McCall, and Ivey Jean (Ralph) Harris; two brothers, Douglas (Gayle) Holder and Alvin (Gwendolyn) Holder; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-one great, grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren; and a host of elder relatives and friends.
