Lavilla "Sissy" Anderson

our beloved, LaVilla Kay Anderson, 68, of High Point, NC, departed this earthly life on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, in Charlotte, NC. She was born February 3, 1952, in High Point, NC, to Lucille Washington Anderson and Robert Lee Anderson. "Sissy," as she was well-known to family and friends, graduated from Barrington High School in Newark, NJ. She attended Wilfred Academy Cosmetology School in New Jersey, returning back to High Point, NC, in the early 1990's, after years of living in Newark, NJ, Sissy became employed with Guilford County School system for 18 years. "Sissy" was a no-nonsense person; she said what she meant and meant what she said. "Sissy" jokingly called her son Sean "daddy" because of his love and protection he had for her. She had a wonderful sense of humor and had much love and respect for her daughters, her son and her mother.

"Sissy" was a faithful member of Living Water Baptist Church, where she served as a member of the choir.

She was preceded in death by her daughters, India (Mama Sara) Anderson and Tiyunna (Ms.P) Thompson; her father, Robert Anderson and sister LaSandra Anderson Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories and smile, Her son, Sean Anderson of Charlotte, NC, her mother, Lucille (Gramp, Granny) Anderson of High Point, NC, her niece, Graceinea Anderson of High Point, NC, Three nephews Willaim Anderson of High Point, NC, Tyrone Anderson of Charlotte, NC and Cho Son (Spud) Anderson of Newark, NJ, Two great nieces, Terrah Anderson and Vanna Herbin both of High Point, NC., One great nephew, Michael Anderson of High Point, NC; Two honorary nephews she totally adored, Ju 'Nathan Anderson and Sir-Lord "Jahmire" Pryce, Jr., A special raised niece, Ja Elle Palmer, who took over all and became the love of her life.
