Lashonda Mckinney

March 22, 1977 — July 4, 2022

On Monday July 4th, 2022, we lost a mother, a wife, a sister, a daughter, and an aunt. She never let her sickle cell stop her from doing the things she wanted or needed to do. Lashonda Leigh Little was born in High Point, NC, on March 22, 1977. She was the first daughter to Robert Little and Nonnie Little. Lashonda graduated from Andrews High School, Class of 1995. She furthered her education and received an associate’s degree in teaching. Lashonda was a Pre-K Teacher for over five years. She was married to Antwon McKinney, and she was the mother of four beautiful children. Lashonda was indeed a Jehovah’s Witness. She became an active pioneer and did lots of the preaching work in the Kingdom Hall, which later led to her being baptized under the watchful eyes of Jehovah. Though there were times where things were rough, she would always keep Jehovah in mind, and she remained ever so faithful until the end. Lashonda loved her family, and she would always put them first before her own needs. This made her very special to us. Lashonda was one in a million! She had a love for art, monarch butterflies, panda bears, brown bears, and her favorite bear was the Pooh Bear. She also loved movies and different types of music. Though her life was a short one, her death will be one to remember and cherish. She wouldn’t want us to cry or be down in spirits. She would want us to stay strong and get along the best way we can. She is survived by: husband, Antwon and four children, A’dora, Byron, Lovely, and Ebone, all of the home; parents, Robert and Nonnie Little; two loving sisters, Michelle Gibson and Yatika Little; nieces and nephews, Quichelle, Mam, Taeyveona, and Kitaiy; stepchildren, Jamaria, Travon, Xavier, and Darrius; and two step-grandchildren, Corey and Carter. Lashonda Leigh Little is in Jehovah’s hands, and in our hearts forever.
