Lamont Allen

Lamont Allen, 47, transitioned from earth to glory on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at the home of his sister. He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 9, 1974, to Deacon Walter Henry and Mother Helen Allen Henry.

Lamont grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he attended P.S. 56 Elementary School, later his family relocated to High Point, NC where he attended Guilford County Public Schools. He was employed with Marsh Furniture, he was a member of Greater Mt. Calvary Church where he attended with his family. He later met and married Layla Hogan  Lamont was preceded in death by his mother; brother; Walter Allen; sister; Shana Mazyck; grandparents; Rufus Allen, Queenie Mae Henry and Josephine Allen Those left to celebrate his life and cherish his memories are his wife; Layla Hogan Allen of Middle River, MD; his children; Tyisha, Shequida, Jacques, Alexa, Lamont, LaKym, Nylae and Ajera "AJ". his siblings: Shelia Herring, Shelia Allen, Dewaine Purvis (Bonita), Walter Mazyck, Shawanda Henry, Keirra Brunson (David) Teirra Mazyck, Junior Purvis and Kasha Jones who was like a sister; Nieces; Bianca Allen, Ceira Allen, Jasmine Woodard; Adorable Allen; Nephews; Antron Allen, Justin McQueen, Malika Allen, Brandon Wall and a host of other nieces and nephews; aunts; Georgia Eller, Virginia Payne (Ronald); Betty Parker and Billy Ray Henry; his grandchildren and a host of cousins, other relatives and special friends.
