John Wilson

Mr. John L. Wilson, age 76, of High Point, NC, passed away on Friday, July 3, 2020. John was born in Marlboro County, SC, to Azell Esther Wilson on April 5, 1944. John moved to High Point, NC, and married Doris Wilson. From their union, two sons were born. John was a member of Shekinah Glory Church International. He was a former member of Temple Memorial Baptist Church. John was preceded in death by his mother; son, John Clifton Wilson; sisters, Dorothy Turner and Helen Alford; brothers, Billy and Norman Wilson; sister-in-law, Tommie Warren; brothers-in-law, William Thomas, Harold Alford, and Weldon Turner; and his former wife, Mary Smith.He is survived by son, James Lewis Wilson; caregiver, Doris Wilson; daughter, Sedalia Green of NJ; grandchildren, James, Jr., John, Brittany, Volanta, Jasmine, Brazette, and Clay; extended family, Paulette, Amber, and Amanda; sisters, Starry (Cleo) Graham and Shirley (Kenneth) Wynn; brother, James (Margie) Wilson; sisters-in-law, Jo-Ann Thomas, Lillian Ingram, and Rosa Wilson; numerous great-grandchildren, whom he loved very much; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
