Janie Mclaurin

Mrs. Janie  M McLaurin, age 82 of High Point, NC departed this earthly life on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Green Haven Health & Rehabilitation.  Janie  was born July 31, 1932 in Marlboro, SC to  Lawrence and Mary Johnson McLaurin.

Janie was educated in Marlboro County Schools. After relocating to New York in 1953; she moved to Rockingham NC after a brief period there she then relocated to High Point NC in 2005.

Janie enjoyed spending time with her family, with a passion for cooking she was a great cook and would feed anyone.

She was a loyal and faithful member of Church of God of Prophecy under the leadership of  Bishop Floyd Collins. Where she was loved by all, Janie loved to worship the Lord and she loved her church family. She served as a member of the Adult Sunday School class; The Ida Covington Cell Group and a member of the women's missionary circle

She was preceded in death by her parents and One brother, Lenel McLaurin

Those left to cherish fond memories include one son, James E Lloyd of High Point NC; One sister, Dessie Salley of Walterboro, SC; Five grandchildren, Anthony Quick, James E Lloyd II, Courtney Lloyd, Alexis Lloyd and Shawn Lloyd;  Two nieces, One special nephew, Russell , other relatives and friends.
