James Stevenson

Mr. James A. Stevenson, 89 of High Point, NC passed away on Tuesday, October 29th, ,2019.  James was born on May 29, 1930 in Marlboro County, SC to the late David Boyd and Mildred Stevenson.

James lived his early years in Brooklyn, NY where he was united in marriage to Alice Logan Stevenson.  In that union four children were born; Yvonne, James Jr., Caroline, and Leontyne.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Alice Logan Stevenson and one daughter, Yvonne Stevenson.  He was a parishioner of Christ the King Church in High Point, NC.

He leaves to cherish his memories of three children: James. A Stevenson Jr. of Gaffney, SC, Caroline R. Stevenson of Cowpens, SC, and Leontyne Stevenson-Higgins of Hopkins, SC; one brother, Addison Stevenson of High Point, NC; one sister, Maggie Hubbard of High Point, NC; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
