James "Mook" Myers

Mr. James Humphrey Jackson Myers made his transition from this life on Thursday. June 4, 2026, at Hospice of the Piedmont in High Point, NC.

He was born October 26, 1943, in Chesterfield, SC, a son of the late Thomas and Ruth Myers Jackson.

Fondly known to family and friends as “Mook, Little Harry, J. Five, and Flip.” James attended public school in Chesterfield, SC. He was married to the late Carolyn Addington Myers. He worked for Trinity Foam Company and for Quick Brother Services.

In addition to his wife and parents, James was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertha and Boyd Stone; great grandparents, Humphrey and Etta Jane Myers. two sons, James Bernard Lowery and Deron Lowery; and three daughters, Sandra Creft, Hazel Lowery Saunders and Helen Byers.

He leaves to cherish his memories to three daughters, Deloris McCullough, Angela “Ann” Lowery, and Mildred Martin; five sons, Michael Zimmerman, Kenny Wayne McCloud, Jo’Cal Myers, Johnny Wayne Lowery and John Thomas Lowery; two brothers, Thomas “Tookie,” Jackson and Charles (Joan) Jackson; one sister, Betty (Alvin) Hoover; mother of his children, Joan Lowery; 32 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; two aunts, Agatha Stone and Christina Stone; one uncle, Jessie (Margaret) Stone; sisters-in-law, Becky Addington, Shirley McDonald, Ella Ree Garner, and Candi (Mark) Goodman, Minnie Lousie Williams and Mary (Pastor Alphonso) Martin; one brother-in-law, James Parson; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, cousins and too many friends.
