Mr. James B. Lindsay Jr., age 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at Moses H. Cone Hospital in Greensboro, NC. “Bruce” as he was known, was born May 17, 1927 in Greensboro, NC, the son of the late James B. Lindsay and Cora C. Lindsay.
He relocated to Buffalo, NY for over 40 years and was employed as a Steel Worker. After retirement, he established his home back in Greensboro and enjoyed traveling, air shows and fast cars. Bruce was an avid outdoorsman and was devoted to his church. Mr. Bruce volunteered faithfully to the Senior Citizens Club, there he would make crafts and give them freely.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his siblings, Maggie East, Elnora Norris, Grace Evans, Ida Brown and Josephine Brown
He is loved and survived by his children, James B. Lindsay III, Erwina (Michael) Wright-Lindsay, Lenell Lindsay, Patricia (Michael) Scisson-Lindsay, James B. (Valerie) Lindsay IV, Cynthia (Clarence) Kidd-Lindsay, Daniel (Ericka) Lindsay, Danyelle (Eddie) Lindsay, Zandra (Nathan) Greenwood, Renette (Russell) Jones; one sister, Madeline Lawson; one brother, Carl Lindsay; numerous grandchildren, great and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
