On Saturday, June 26, 2021, James King, Sr., age 71, unexpectedly transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life at Wake Forest Baptist Health-High Point Medical Center. “King” or “JK,” as he was fondly known by many, was a kind person with an easy-going spirit. He was born on August 25, 1949, to the late Rosetta Andrews Green and Morris Green in Clarendon County, SC. He was last employed with a cement company. King had a special love for people and would help others as often as he could. He would give you good advice, whether you accepted it or not. He enjoyed fishing, chewing his “RedMan” tobacco, and cooking. He would often cook for the less fortunate and donate recycled items to local businesses. He was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. We will miss him. King was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Blossom Billie King; his parents; four siblings, Richard Green, Robert Sutton, Dorothy Mae Green, and Rosa Mae Kennedy; and two aunts, Camilla Gibson and Lorena Johnson. He leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to: his two sons, James King, Jr., and David (Sandra) King, both of High Point, NC; grandchildren, Davian King, Dayonna King, Jamie Bostic, Toni Bostic, Tyrese King, Breonna Baldwin, and Tyera Jackson; half brother, William Johnson of Lexington, NC; two sisters, Queen Kennedy of High Point, NC, and Annie Mae Billups of Atlanta, GA; two brothers, John (Janice) Edward Andrews of Columbia, SC, and William Green of Tampa, FL; the Kennedy Family; brother-in-law, Clyde Billie of Thomasville, NC; one sisterin-law, Rosa Mae of CO; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends
