James Kennedy

James "JC" Kennedy was born on May 7, 1947, in Pinewood, SC, to the late Samuel Lee and Rosa Hampton Kennedy. His earthly life came to a peaceful end on Monday, May 9, 2022, at Thomasville Medical Center in Thomasville, NC.

JC attended Manchester High School in Pinewood, SC, after graduating he moved to Thomasville, NC, where he met and married his beloved wife, Shirley Sharp.

JC was employed by Southern Veneer Company and retired after 20 years of service from Thomasville Furniture Industries, JC also had a love for fishing, cooking and wearing him many baseball caps.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley, his parents, one brother and one sister.

He leaves to cherish his memories, five sisters, Julia Durant, Rebecca Durant, Emma (Charlie) Andrews, Elanora Hudson and Joyce Borders all of Thomasville, NC. four brothers, Samuel Kennedy, Franklin Kennedy, Johnny (Ethel) Kennedy of Thomasville, NC and John Benjamin of Rochester, NY, one sister-in-law, Susan Kennedy of High Point, NC, his goddaughter, Ashley Canty and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
