Sergeant First Class Ivian Jerome Robinson departed this life on August 14th, 2025, in North Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born August 22, 1962, to the late Reverend George and Evangelist Rosa Robinson in High Point, North Carolina. Sergeant First Class Robinson served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves and retired after 30 years. He drove long distance 18-wheeler tractor-trailers for 35 years.
Jerome, as he was affectionately called, had a passion for singing and playing instruments like his favorite, the guitar. He also played the keyboard and drums. Jerome sang gospel quartet music for over 40 years. He has recorded music with the Gospel Samaritans and the Violinaires.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Curtis and Pete; twin grandsons, Shyne and Capone; and stepdaughter, Catrice.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, LaCoya Ingram and Natasha Ingram of High Point, North Carolina, Marcus Robinson of Greensboro, North Carolina, Joshua Robison of Lexington, North Carolina, and Deja Robison of Wisconsin; North Carolina; two sisters, Ann (Harry) Coleman of Thomasville, North Carolina and Minister Annie Jean (Amos) Shear of Shelby, North Carolina; one brother, Ali Bey “George,” of Jacksonville, North Carolina; 17 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three aunts, Bessie, Martha, and Queenie; one niece, Kenya, four nephews, Corey, Jamie, Brian, and Travis; former wife, Mary Robinson; stepdaughter, Shandi Ingram; and special friends, Avery Cowans, Edward Terry, and Herb White.
