Guy Whitlock Sr.

Silently and peaceful Guy Whitlock Sr slipped into the hands of our almighty God on Friday, December 11, 2020, at his home.

Guy was born in High Point, NC on July 18, 1952.   The oldest child born to the late Mildred Lisenby Whitlock and Otis Whitlock Sr.   Guy was raised by his mother and his grandfather.

A resident of High Point all his life, Guy graduated from Thomas Wingate Andrews High School, class of 1970.  He worked 43 years at Leggett Platt/Future Foam.  Guy enjoyed all kinds of music.  He also enjoyed watching kids play football in his front yard.  Guy was a proud Pittsburgh Steelers fan and never missed a game.  Family and friends knew of the special relationship and love Guy had for his sons; they meant the world to him.

In addition to his parents, Guy was also preceded in death by a special friend, Sharlene Clarke.

At the time of death Guy was living in the family home with his brother Odell Whitlock of the home.  Guy also leaves to cherish his memories to his two sons, Guy (Carla) Whitlock Jr. of Orlando, FL and Brandon Michael Whitlock of High Point, NC and the mother of his son, Beverly Parker; five grandchildren Raheem, Monte, Makiya, Emantie and Sekoyia; a host of other relatives and friends.
