Geraldine Steed

Geraldine Steed, 74 went home to be with the Lord as she was surrounded by loved ones on January 6, 2024. Geraldine was born on February 24, 1949, to the late Herbert and Secir Steed. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son James Lamon (House) Steed, a sister, Sylvia Steed and three brothers, Herbert (June) Steed, Roy Steed and Emory Steed

Geraldine attended High Point City Schools. She attended Calvary Baptist Church where she was apart of many organizations. She served a president of the Bud of Promise. Geraldine loved the Lord, cooking and eating fish. She was well known throughout the southside community as the candy land, helping and feeding people as well as praying for them. She was the babysitter for a lot of children in the community as well as her nieces and nephews.

Those left to cherish her memories including three sisters, Mary Alice Steed, Brenda Steed and Arnetta Steed; one brother, Milton Steed. A host of nieces and nephews. A special great nephew, Shamar Jackson who was like a grandson.
