Franklin "Pete" Kennedy

Mr. Franklin, “Pete” Kennedy, age 79 passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2024. He was born December 10, 1944, to the late Rosa Hampton Kennedy and Samuel Lee Kennedy. Franklin attended Manchester High School in Pinewood, SC. He later relocated to Thomasville, NC in 1967. He joined in matrimony to Elizabeth Moore. From this union, three children were born. He was employed with the former Gray Concrete until retirement. Franklin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, one son Franklin Kennedy Jr.; and three brothers John Benjamin, Joe Louis Kennedy and James “JC” Kennedy, Left to cherish his memories are his two daughters, Sandra Kennedy Brown of Spartanburg, SC and Barbara Kennedy Marby of Kingstree, SC; two brothers, Samuel Kennedy of Thomasville, NC and Johnny (Ethel) Kennedy of Trinity, NC; five sisters, Julia Durant, Rebecca Durant, Emma (Charlie) Andrews of Thomasville, NC, Ellanora Hudson of High Point, NC, and Joyce Borders of Thomasville, NC; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
