Frank Manning

Frank Manning, 67 passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016 at High
Point Regional Hospital.  He was born on January 25, 1948 in Dillon, South
Carolina to the late Mr. Daniel Lacy Manning and Mrs. Maggie Leach Manning.

He received his education in the Dillon County, South Carolina school
systems.   Immediately after completing his schooling Frank Moved to New Jersey,
and secured a job at GM – General Motors, where he worked for a few years.  In
1976 he moved back to the Carolinas.  In his young adult years he played on a
softball team, and that’s where he earned the nickname “Speedy.”  He was also a
former employee of Mannington Wood Flooring providing 22 years of service in
2008 he received an early retirement from the company.  Frank accepted the Lord
as his personal Savior, and for many years he served as a Trustee at Living
Waters Baptist Church.  He later on became a devoted member of Williams Memorial
CME Church where he served diligently on the usher board.  He was a quiet,
faithful man who was loyal to his family, and to those he called friend.  He had
a very kind heart, and if you needed his help he was there for you, to know him
was to love him.

He was preceded in death by both of his parents, four brothers, and
three sisters.
Holding on to precious memories are as follows; his 92 year old, Aunt Cora
Lee Baker of Roland, North Carolina, Two Brothers, Curtis Manning, Larry
Manning, and a daughter Anita “Tosha” (Daryl) Malloy, two grandchildren, Amos,
and Brionna, and one Great Grandson, Amos Jr.  From his former marriage to Mary
Manning, Frank also inherited her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchild
whom he loved as his own; Ricky (Chrystal) Quick, James (Gloria) McCullough, and
Carolyn “Dee Dee” Quick, Tyrone, Rico, Melvin, Toya, Shatina, Jameisha, and
Jamal (Maya) Quick, and Jaquincy (Juicy). A host of nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends will truly miss him as well.
