Flossie Sherrod of High Point, NC passed away at the beautiful age of 95 on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at her residence. She was born in Tarboro, NC on May 30, 1922 to the late Darson and Lena Harrison.
Flossie worked as a housekeeper for many years. Always with an angelic smile this woman of God lived a full life.
A resident of High Point most of her life, Flossie was a kind spirited person. She attended various churches in the community; Living Water Baptist, Spirit of Life Ministries, and Brookhaven Baptist Church.
She was married to the late Jessie Sherrod.
In addition to her parents and husband, Flossie was also preceded in death by her only son, William R. “Beddie Boy” Sherrod; three grandsons, Phillip Sherrod, William Earl Sherrod, and Eddie “Jay” Shaw; three sisters and one brother.
Her life, memories, and smile will always be remembered by her four great grandchildren; Jada Sherrod and William E. Sherrod II, both of Greensboro, NC, Whitney Stanback and Phillip “Peedie” Barnett both of High Point, NC; great great grandchildren, Heaven Williams, Justice Sherrod, William Sherrod III, and Brandyn Holloway; special niece, Mary Jefferson of W. Virginia; family of whom she considered her daughters, Janette Sherrod, Rita Barnett (James Quick), a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
