Ms. Florence Louise Graham, age 89, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Pine Ridge Rehabilitation Facility in Thomasville, NC. She was born April 30, 1929 in Bennettsville, SC to the late Florence Graham. Florence attended Marlboro County Schools. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by eleven brothers and sisters.
Florence was employed by Alma Desk Company until she began to have health issues. After that, she opened up a home daycare. She enjoyed spoiling the children that she kept. She loved attending worship service at Living Waters Baptist Church.
“Duke”, was another name she was also called, was an avid gardener. During the spring time, she would have flowers growing out of all kinds of pots. At her home, you could find birds and dogs. Another hobby that gave her joy was sitting on the fish bank. Duke loved laughing and hanging out with family and friends. She opened up her home to many family members and friends. Most of all, she would feed anyone that came by hungry. She was a straight forward person and didn’t hesitate about saying what was on her mind.
Left to cherish her memories are: one son, Antonio Stephon Graham of Raleigh, NC; one grandson, Jaron Graham of Raleigh, NC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; three other people that was dear to her, Catherine Monroe, Carl Torrence, Jr. and Jakia Torrence Nash.
