Ezell “Mike” Conyers
Ezell “Mike” Conyers, 68, of High Point, NC passed away peacefully on March 8, 2026 of Peritoneal Cancer. He was born December 28, 1957 in Clarendon County, South Carolina to the late Mr. Haywood Bosier and Ms. Ida Mae Conyers. He attended Scotts Branch High School in Summerton, South Carolina. He grew up as a child in Silver, South Carolina. In his adult life he lived in High Point, North Carolina and was employed by Thomasville Furniture Industries for many years. He later retired from High Point Enterprise.
He will be remembered by those that knew him for his love of fishing and his expertise on cars when you need an opinion on a car purchase or any mechanical issues. He was also no stranger to letting you know he was a Denver Broncos fan either. He loved his southern soul music. It was not unusual to hear him blasting Bishop Bullwinkle” or “Theodis Ealey” riding around town. You might even catch him playing some “Cardi B”, He always said she was his girl.
He will truly be missed for his porch conversations and phone calls just check on you. He was ‘Mr. Dependable’ and the definition of a phone call away. If you called him to do something for you or needed a ride, if he was able to come, he was on his way, no matter what. He had the biggest heart and loved wholeheartedly.
He lived a very happy life filled with family and friends who loved him. He has endured several battles with different cancers throughout his life. We honor Mike for making the brave decision to prioritize peace over pain in final days. His strength lives on in our hearts having lived life on his own terms. He embraced his final chapter with grace and peace, leaving behind a legacy of love. He assured his loved ones that he knew the Lord and was ready to just go home and be at peace.
He was preceded in death by his mom and dad, Haywood Bosier and Ida Mae Conyers; two brothers, Aaron Conyers Sr., Morgan Conyers, one infant sister; one sister-in-law, Daisy Conyers; two nephews, Aaron Conyers Jr., Issac Burgess and one niece, Beatrice Green.
